Jenna's First Birthday

We celebrated Miss Jenna's first birthday on May 11th (instead of her actual day on the 13th) with a Princess party. Everyone was in great spirits and even donned a tiara to get into the mood. We attempted to keep it a small affair, as we were leaving the country the next day, but as you can see, it grew and grew. :-) I believe all told we ended up with 23 people (not everyone made it into the pic.) We just hung out in our back yard and had a taco bar for dinner.

We had 2 cakes. One tiara cake for Miss Jenners that Mommy made (although some said it looked like a potty seat). That's the one she got to eat. The rest of us enjoyed the store-bought variety of cake.

Lucky for us, Jenna loves cake because these are the exact pictures I was hoping we'd end up with!!! When I say she's sweet, I mean sweet and very sticky!!!

Much silliness, fun and games were had. See a sampling of the pictures below. And everyone left early enough that we could still pack for our big family adventure (the trip to the Riviera Maya.) Details forthcoming. Elaine, our dear nanny is actually taking her vacation starting this week, so I'll be home with Jenners for a bit and be able to post pics and big-winded dialogue soon.
