Hark...Harold the Angel

Jenna's pre-school classmates joined the church this past Sunday as part of their Christmas program. They've been practicing a song for weeks and weeks to have the kids sing with a Christian singer (from Hutchinson KS, of all places.) Jenna and I have been practicing singing their "one song" over and over (and who picks Hark the Herrald Angel for 2 year olds?) There were even hand motions to go with the song.

Let's just say, cuteness of epic proportions was predicted (and achieved.) Jenna even picked out a new dress at Walmart for her debut so it wasn't just Mama who was giddy with the prospect of a singing talent in the family.

Check out my sweet new dress!
And aren't I super cute WITHOUT a hat on?

That night we met up with the family of Jenna's little friend, Aidan. They are super nice people and also have a little girl, Nadia who is Kyle's age.

Jenna and Aidan sharing snacks during the magic show portion of the evening.

Kyle and Nadia making "eyes" at each other.

I really hoped to be posting the video of her performance but it is far too big of a file. It's also not my finest video work as I lost composure and shook the camera violently while laughing. It was an epic performance...not because Jenna was an amazing and undiscovered talent...she didn't sing AT ALL and only did half the hand motions (however she maintained cuteness the whole time!)

Aidan was actually the life of the party...toward the end of the show, he ripped his shirt off and was running back and forth in front of the stage rubbing his belly and his nipples doing an "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" type noise. It was hysterical and had the whole church cracking up.

And that's exactly what you get when 2 year olds are asked to perform...you get a real show!

I love the Christmas program at our school, especially the preschool kids. You never know what they will do. We had two kids fighting once during the program. Priceless. Jenna looks beautiful. Glad you had fun.
