Allison's Visit - Pt 1 - Updated

Sorry that these photos and info weren't posted sooner. What can I say? I'm a busy woman.

Part 1 of the Allison's Visit
~*~*~*~
Exciting events from our house to share. One of my aunts, two cousins and my second cousin from Kansas came to San Diego to visit us the first weekend in October. They were enjoying a mother, daughter and grandaughter fun weekend. They claimed they came out to see us, but really they came to see the Chiefs beat the Chargers in football. Boo hoo! Rematch in December!!!! Chronicled below are some of the fun things we packed into our weekend.

Friday Night Arrival...late somewhere past bedtime for the kids, for sure!!! Kaelyn crashed out shortly after arrival, and Duncan decided to sneak into bed with her. You don't get that kind of service if you're staying at the Holiday Inn!!!

Saturday, we got up & around and headed down to Sea World. We opened AND closed down the park. I have tons of great pics (and memories) from the day we shared there.

The girls looking out the window on the lifting tower thingy.

We are so glad we bought year passes for our fam. We discovered that feeding the dolphins is exceptionally cool. We'll be doing that on every visit from now on. J showing Kaelyn how to feed and pet one on the left and how to feed a sea lion on the right. (Notice the fish going into its mouth.)

Some WET women following the raft ride. A welcome relief from the heat. While they stood in line and rode the rapids, Jenna caught a great nap in the stroller in the shade.

Daddy and Jenna at the Shamu show. Mommy and Jenna hugging a penguin (stuffed, of course.)

Strong Daddy holding Jenna, Kaelyn AND giving a piggy back ride to the Beluga whale. Wow!

Kaelyn in the polar bear cave.

Jenna did NOT want to be near the big sea otter, but Kaelyn sure didn't mind a cute pose with him.

4-D theatre = freaky...and the movie was a bit weird, too.

Self portrait of us on the sky thingy. And the Allisons in their carriage.

Jenna, Kaelyn and the Walrus, no Beattles reference intended.

Mommy and Jenna in her super cute hat.
Notice Jenna started the day in a red shirt? The new piece in her wardrobe was an unplanned souvenier. We're just referring to it as the BWI (Big Whiz Incident) where I did a terrible attempt at a diaper change in the stroller when Jenna wasn't quite ready for fresh pants yet...so her shirt caught most of the damage. Yep, they get you to buy their trinkets in the most tricky of ways.
Come on Jenna, I'll hold your hand.
Jenna says, "Wow, I sure do love milk. Can I have a ba-ba?"
A tired group pretty close to leaving for the day.

5 adults and 2 kids were thoroughly exhausted when we came home. Rebecca, Holly, Jenna, Heather and Kaelyn lounging on the loveseat.

At the end of each evening, the girls both enjoyed some tub time. Jenna has never gotten to have someone in the tub with her and thought it was a hoot.
